Make the days Count...For Him(Jesus Christ)

Sometimes I wonder why I am still where I am at. Why am I still at the same job, the same town, the same community? The other day I put this cd in my car and this song as literally been in repeat in my car for the last ten days. It has me thinking. "Teach us to count the days, teach us to make the days count" 
Do I "make the days count"?
I know I fail at this 90% of the time, but having listened to I have determined to strive to "make the days count" as God would have me do.
I don't mean "make the days count" for myself and neither is the author of this song I'm sure. God wants us to make every day count for Him. Everyone matters to Him no matter what they've done. And once you've made a decision to accept Him into your life He's never going to let you go. We are a Son or Daughter of the One True King.
So for those of you who take the time to read/listen to this I pray you are as blessed and challenged as I was and know that I am going to strive to "make the days count" for God.
Also I want to add. Don't let your failure at this make you feel depressed or inadaquate. God supplies all our needs when we need them in His time. Let this encourage you to dig into His Word and let Him mold you into the man or woman He wants you to be.

A stop and consider moment

 It has been a while since my last post. Life has happened. Changes have occured. I am still here and striving to live intentionally for Jesus in all that I do. I choose to sing

It is April 6, 2020. Corona-virus is a Pandemic currently holding the world in a clutching fear and chaos. On the flip side of the same coin are the people who don't think it is any big deal. Also held in some sort of fear even though they would deny it. I don't start this post out with that sentence to start a debate or a war. I start it as the truest statement of the world as I can see it, from the small corner I call home. I have family grieving the loss of their mother(my great Aunt) from the homes they are quarantined too because of this virus. There is no final viewing to say goodbye. There is no one last hug and kiss and squeeze of their mother's hand. The Coroner arrived at their home to pick up the bag of clothing they wanted their mom buried in and he had to pick it up from the driveway, spray it down while dressed with gloves and mask. "and as your days, so shall your strength be"

I think we can all say the last year and a half has been a different kind of struggle.  On so many different levels.  As I was driving home from work today this song came back from years of playing it with my mom and brother. It struck me how many times as a young kid I didn't like this music or that music because it was "old fashioned", but now the stuff I used to call old fashioned has become my theme and or reminder of Who my Strength comes from. Todays Christian worship music is good and can brighten a day and some of it is even amazing and has the core of what our hearts need to hear, but it isn't quite the same as the "old fashioned" music we didn't like as kids.
