 December 24,2022

As I was driving to work yesterday morning I was thinking about Christmas and how it brings hope and joy to people and yet so many people struggle. Physical struggle, mental struggle, spiritual struggle. I was reminded that God did not promise that this life would be easy....in fact He promised this life would be a struggle (Genesis 3: 14-19, John 16:33).

Yet through all the struggles life sends, God overcame all of them. All. Of. Them.

We just have to strive to allow Him full control in all areas of our lives. From taking our thoughts captive (2 Corinthians 10:5), to falling on our knees in Holy Worship of God. His love is boundless and free. His salvation is free(John 3:16). The gift of Life Eternal is free. His grace is free(Ephesians 2:8-9). His mercy is free. He is faithful(Psalms 136). He is truth. He gives peace(Philippians 4:7) He keeps His promises (Genesis 9). Once we've accepted God's payment for our sins, admitting that we are sinners and we sin, nothing can separate us from God's Love.

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭35‬-‭39

Tomorrow is Christmas. We celebrate by spending time with family and friends, giving gifts and eating food. And for a brief moment we push away all our struggles and grief and  make it through the day for our families and friends.

This Christmas eve if I can encourage one person with my personal thoughts may it be because God has used my voice as His.

Yesterday morning on my drive to work God blessed me with His promises! He reminded me that through all the struggles and through all the grief He is willing and able and asking to carry my burdens, all my struggles and all my grief (1 Peter 5:7). He is willing to cry with me, laugh with me, love me, remains faithful, and always keeps His promises!

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.”

‭Psalms‬ ‭55‬:‭22‬

He is Hope! Let's celebrate Him all year! From Christmas to Easter and Easter to Christmas!

May your Christmas be blessed and filled with His Hope and may His promises and blessings upon you be great!

Merry Christmas!‬‬‬
